Alicesoft (an eroge developer likely best known for the Rance series) has delivered saddening news as they are cancelling the full English release of the upcoming Evenicle 2 on Steam, which has been attributed to the game distribution platform refusing to list the eroge RPG because of some of its adult scenes.
Alicesoft announced this vital information on Twitter, where they reassured the fans they are looking into alternative storefronts to launch the sexy title:
The demo last year sparked its own controversy after players found it had cut some content and implemented mosaic censorship.
For those somehow not familiar, Steam has become notorious for outright refusing erotic titles with anime-style visuals, particularly ones with school uniforms or with characters who merely look under-age (even when they are not) – a decision that is highly hypocritical as the platform constantly allows sex-laden mainstream titles.
