Since her initial discovery, the infinitely adorable 2D English teacher Ellen Baker has seemingly exploded with popularity, prompting a reaction from her creator Denchubo requesting that artists tone down the graphic content of their artwork – a rather unrealistic request if ever there were one.
Denchubo went in-depth on the “issue” in an interview with Buzzfeed Japan, stating that the character has an image to uphold due to being associated with a series of textbooks meant to educate minors, thus her more explicit fan-art (an inevitability from the start considering what fate befell even Pokemon) could cause concern among parents and possibly lead the fictional teacher to an early retirement.

Holy f♥♥k. It sure feels like tumblr in the comment section.
According to the blog post on the illustrator’s web site, he says he answered the interview questions hastily and didn’t mean to come across as too assertive. He concluded that people shouldn’t worry too much about it and just have fun.
Nice. Time for more lewd pictures.
It might actually be better if the artist acknowledged her growing popularity and started up a contest for fan-art with winners being granted some recognition in the next installment of New Horizon. It might not do anything for cleaning up the ero-art, but it would increase the clean to smut ratio.
i thought this was about Mary Cagle at first.
