Ranma 1/2 fans have been presented with a post juxtaposing the classic manga with the new movie adaptation, and for some reason they like it not one bit.
Panda is coming in for particular criticism, looking rather moth-eaten as he does:
Though there is worse:
At least the cast looks kind of believable, both in “real life versions of the cartoon characters” and “ranma-kun / ranma-chan being gender swaps of the same person” terms. Though they could have used stronger hair dyes 😀
Doesn’t mean it’ll be well acted, plotted, shot or otherwise directed of course, but it’s a small step up from the usual “these are supposed to be the same people?!” syndrome that live action adaptions often suffer.
NO
BAD JAPANESE MOVIE INDUSTRY
BAD
Am I really the only one here who sees that a majority of the actors actually LOOK the part of the characters they’re supposed to be? I’m not sure what exactly the big problem is. Japan’s had better luck with live-action adaptions than America has.
looks like staff from some kind cheap porn.
And they shall call it Ranma 1/2 inch.
What shocks me most is the age of the actors! Why don’t they use actors that are at least aparently the age of the characters they portray not not some twenty-somethings. Some cute 14 year olds would certainly bright up this movie…
