Toyota’s decision to aggravate all Miku fans everywhere by insisting on using a bizarre American comic styled illustration of the world’s foremost virtual idol has finally been rescinded – not only is the new version not a flagrant rip-off of Tony’s artwork, it is rather tasteful and even displays a tantalising glimpse of Miku’s upper thigh.
Before (with Tony Miku for comparison):
Sadly Toyota still does not offer a negi-green colour scheme for the car itself, or even a free wallpaper of its tasteful art, but other than the awkward CG version of Miku it still employs it is at least not actively antagonising the very demographic it was so clumsily attempting to court.
i feel like wanna vomit after i saw this. no moe at all and that is not miku. fukk all of this, and stop americanize miku. american already have all their ugly character from marvel and disney, then why still bother to destroy the cuteness of our asian’s hatsune miku???
WEEABOO ALERT!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
I actually liked the American version.
Her nose and mouth were a little wonky, but she actually looked like she was 16… and, unlike Tony’s original work, it doesn’t look like Miku’s spine is broken.
Well, this new one is pretty nice too.
What on earth does a car have to do with terrible music?
This version = The Win
sorry but…YOUR WRONG!!!!!
Do have some sense to try and research before an entry.
The point of the images switching is a project by the company itself. They commission various artists to draw Miku and place it on the site and will rotate. It has nothing to do with whiners or criticism wanting change.
