The leaking of the Senkaku ramming video the state tried to suppress has prompted yet another flag waving march through Tokyo in the name of “freedom and peace in Asia,” apparently larger than previously.
The demonstration took the form of a peaceful flag waving procession through central Tokyo, including Ginza. Just how big the demonstration actually was is not clear, but published estimates in the Japanese media are higher than previously, at 4,500 or so.
The demonstrations appear to be rapidly gaining an air of respectability in the face of Chinese provocation and government incompetence – not only did major rags actually cover the procession, but an LDP diet member and former defence minister, Yuriko Koike, attended and gave a speech.
The tone of the demonstration also took on a more international perspective – placards challenged China’s efforts to dominate Asia, and Tibetan and Vietnamese dissidents addressed the crowd in Japanese.
The media is stressing a more mainstream participation in the demonstration after the leak of the videos, saying for the first time housewives and students were participating (although this is probably a fabrication as plenty of female participation was visible even in the first event).
The obligatory carefully selected quote, in this case from a 34-year-old Chiba housewife attending for the first time:
“I wanted to attend before but with the leak of the video I’m furious with China. The government too is outrageous, how dare they try to hide a video like that – I had to attend.”
It seems Japan’s grossly incompetent government has done more to harm long term relations with China by its subservient toadying than any anti-Chinese government ever could have done by deliberate action.
More people turn up to an average lower league footbaall game so whats the story here

I seriously dont know what the Japanese are all butthurt about this ramming case…
After all, these armed JCG-vessels were rammed by the Chinese trawler in CHINESE territory and not japanese.
So these coast-guards were illegally in chinese territory and can be rightfully attacked by anyone who feels disturbed by them.
Just like that case with Russia, where russian navy vessels sunk and killed a japanese fisher. And in this case, there wasnt even so much butthurt by the Japanese.
But why now, when the case is clear that the Diaoyu’s are Chinese territory?!
And before you weaboos here argue about China’s possession of these Islands; here’s a good source about it:
http://sun-bin.blogspot.com/2010/09/17831785-ryukyu-map-by-japanese.html
A Japanese map, dating from 1786 clearly marked the Diaoyutai in the colours of the Qing-Dynasty. Thus, this evidence debunked Japan’s claim of having ‘discovered these island only by 1885’, since obviously they pretty much knew it very well for a 101 years, that these islands and their surrounding waters were already Qing-Dynasty possessions.
So, we have two japanese armed vessels, harrassing a Chinese fishing trawler who strikes back at them by raming them twice, and japan being all butthurt about another country’s fisher practizing his right of self-protection and territorial defense against an foreign maritime invader. And then, they even have the guts to detain a citizen of another country for fighting in his own territory.
Stay classy Japan.
Because territories can never change owners ever? Because the US and South America was not taken from a preexisting people? And how exactly did the JCG harass the fishermen? they were just sailing not pointing guns at them.
By Weaboos I think Anon meant people who know what they are talking about.
00:44 Fail comeback is fail
Not by Japan.
They grabbed these Islands by force in the first sino-japanese war 1894-1895 and had to hand them back to China after WWII in the San-Francisco peace-treaty of 1952, where the allied nations ended Japan’s imperialist heritage with the nullification of all Japanese possessions they have ‘aquired’ since 1894.
Japan had to give up everything they have conquered so far and hand them to their respective owners. Something they didnt in the case of the Dokdo Islands (claimed by South Korea) and the Diaoyu Islands.
They have brought the wrath of China, Russia and Korea upon them, and its noone else than their own fault.
“Freedom & Peace in Asia”
Everytime Japs takes these words in their dirty mouthes, it will be used to legitimize their delusions of creating an “East-Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere” under their imperialist leadership.
China will do good to ignore these ramblings and continue to support Russia and Korea and their own activists on both sides of the Taiwan strait in successfully gaining the objects of their claims against Japan, while simultaniously arming herself for a possible war with Japan and their American masters.
Never again shall Japan even open their mouth to verbally claim Chinese national territory, without being severely punished for it.
Russia, Korea, Taiwan and China should form an anti-japanese alliance and use their weight to pressure the US to give up their support for the unrightful claims of Japan regarding the Diaoyutai, Dokdo-islands and Kurils.
How did you get a time machine to 60 years ago? Because I’m sure China doesn’t do much s♥♥t either for Russia or Taiwan so forming an alliance to destroy one nation just so the other nation can kick your ass isn’t a great idea considering what happened to Tibet.
Maybe he’s just trapped in the past?
