China is fast catching up to Japan in more ways than one – some 300,000 Chinese are thought to kill themselves annually, a quarter of the global total, now being at or over those of suicide-loving Japan at an estimated 23 per 100,000 annually.
In fact, just as city skylines are soaring, so are suicide rates, and it is from these very buildings that many are choosing to cast themselves, so much so that Chinese emergency services sadly seem to be becoming very well equipped to deal with them…
The drama ensuing from these acts of urban theatre has become a staple of the Chinese media, but voices of sympathy are beginning to give way to voices of criticism at these self-indulgent “highjackings” of the public for acts of personal drama.
POOR QUALITY suicides.
most of this suicide seek attention.
they actually want a lot of people try to persuade them not to jump or more witness to see them go off in hoping more people cry for them.
real suicide would be very detail planned so nobody can know when to help, write suicide note in paper or in social network site and so on.
my bet on picture 13, the guy really jump before any crowd even there to persuade or help. once they wait for the crowd, its just a pathetic attention seeker.
I wish you could step back from that ledge my friend…………
their reaction time is better than japan
