Patreon’s love of censorship and grotesque attempts to control what their users are allowed to do and say has led to another user being threatened to delete a tweet or else have their account closed, once again serving as part of the corrupt movement to censor those who point out things that go against the elite’s narrative.
A Twitter user shared the message they were given from Patreon where they were demanded to remove a year old tweet pointing out Disney framing a law that would allow children aged five through eight to be taught about “sexual and gender concepts” as a matter of “LGBT rights”:
The individual has since abandoned Patreon and moved to SubscribeStar.
Such censorship should seem familiar as PayPal recently tried to change its rules that would allow them to fine their users for spreading “misinformation” or “hate speech” – while they initially received backlash, they have since quietly changed their rules anyway.
This will not surprise those who have actually been bothering to track the many horrible things Patreon has done in the past, as for half a decade, Patreon has been trying to wrestle freedom of creativity from the hands of its creators.
They have banned artwork and animations that “sexualize minors” on countless occasions, claimed they own the content of its creators, have completely banned hypnotism, and performed other acts of absurdity.
Ideally there’d be some international laws preventing all institutions, especially financial institutions, from doing s♥♥t like this.

We need some kind of ‘financial services neutrality act’ and quickly.. Applying to at least banks and CCs, if not payment processes as well. Not even factoring in the rise of digital currency, and big… everything’s dream of all digital systems.. Financial services are every bit as fundamental to the modern world as water, electricity, phone and other such services are. And if we ever go all or mostly digital, the lack of any such laws have to be a non-starter!
You have to also understand that a lot of this comes down to the banks and CC companies literally threatening to cut off even billion dollar companies if they don’t do what they ask. There simply isn’t any alt to their services so it’s take their terms or utterly crash and burn without any payment options other than direct cash.
Another major factor in need of reform is the government itself. It treats banks and CC companies like pseudo law enforcement agencies in terms of money. Putting ridiculous legal and criminal restrictions, duties and requirements on them. Basically requiring them to act as money police in a way that would be totally unconstitutional in any other context. I mean imagine phone companies having a legal/criminal duty to prevent the use of their services for any criminal activity, under a standard of “well you should have known better than to give them service” or “we warned you that we didn’t like people using it for that.”
There are laws regarding it. That’s what section 230 is about. Obviously, however, it is not properly applied.
Patreon has been ideologically captured for years. Creators relying on it for their income are pretty stupid, especially if they want to have non-PC opinions.
