Japan is being plagued by an insufferable heatwave as the country is allegedly being scorched by the “highest temperatures in at least 147 years”, no doubt the perfect excuse for certain individuals to blame the fearmongered “climate crisis”.
Japan’s government is requesting citizens preserve their power usage as much as possible to “stay safe” during this unbearable heat.
The Tokyo area was struck with weather of the 35C variety (95F for those still using primitive measurements) for an entire week and the weekend, while it was believed that Nagoya would reach a horrible 40C.
The government informed the populace that such situations might continue for a while, and suggested they can ease up on wearing masks, which many have been slow to adhere to as wearing them was a trend even before the less than genuine “pandemic” – a remark from Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Seiji Kihara:
“Since it raises the risk of heatstroke, please take off your masks outside if you are far away from others and not speaking.”
On June 30th, greater Tokyo’s power grid (supplying to 37 million citizens) came close to usage levels that would have caused power outages, though things have now been rectified as measures were taken to contend with the high usage that is synonymous with the scorching summer season.
Japan is often overwhelmed by abysmal summer heat, as the Tokyo Olympics had to be moved to a later date because of the high temperatures – the Ministry of Economy had an official releasing a statement as well:
“Due to the record high temperatures, we had (power) demand nearly equal to summer peak levels in June – before we were able to gather sufficient supply resources. That’s why things got tight.”
The heat in Japan has been so devastating that the number of citizens brought to hospitals due to heatstroke in June was the highest in about a decade, with 1,517 individuals, from as young as six to the elderly at 97 years, being taken to the hospital.
Don’t know what the humidity in Japan is but if it’s worse than where I live or parts of Florida than I pray for their safety.
In this comment section: People who do not understand regional climate differences & their impact.
OP reply: someone who thinks being 5-10 degree’s higher than usual in a humid country hellbent on not using A/C is anything we give a s♥♥t about.
Well they are all americans, can’t expect them to know anything about the world.
Except nothing is regional here. The increase in temperature is the same everywhere. I live in the north and even we have dry summers to the point I started to hate summer time. I want back the rainy days from the past.

Weird, I seem to remember Sankom reporting on 40C in Japan only a bunch of years ago and not 147 years ago.
It’s not a big deal, where I live there is high humidity and temperatures like that aren’t crisis worthy.
There’s nothing to endure, though. Summer is nice.
Dude try walking in a sauna and breathing. Thats Japan during the worst of its humid summers.
oh great, let´s turn that into negative 40 c in your wasteland and I am sure that nobody will complain at all and be fine.
Yeah I think its fairly obvious Chen has never visited Japan before. Anyone be it Japanese folk or tourists would describe the Summers(Humidity) as hellish at times.
It’s not great, but it isn’t the end of the world.
You are gonna wish it was the end of the world
