The Sonic the Hedgehog franchise looks to be in solid hands as far as the films go as the sequel has become so successful that it is now deemed the highest-grossing domestic video game movie of all time, demonstrating the benefits of listening to actual fans.
Paramount Pictures and Sega disclosed that the second film generated $162.74 million in the US, while the first only made $148.97 million in the same region – the Uncharted film raked in $146.51 million in comparison.
As far as outside the US, the movie managed to make $168.9 million (putting it at $331.64 million total), which still leaves it behind such hits as the Warcraft film, Detective Pikachu, and Uncharted.
The movie has yet to debut in Japan however, possibly allowing for the movie’s income to elevate further when it becomes available August 19th.
Adding Tails and Knuckles to it with a Shadow ending made it sell for nearly $14M more. If they would do away with n♥♥♥♥r diversity s♥♥t. It would have hit over $200M easily.

It was a surprising decent video game adaptation for once and the forced diversity segments weren’t too forced though it was still there, of course, but both actual Sonic fans and the far left hollywood elites got what they wanted in the end for the movie.

Diversity used to just be natural and unforced, look how many white/black and asian/black pairings in movies there were in the 80s to early 2000s, racial tensions were much lower when we had media like this with the subtle message of working together.
