Spinoff Manga One Piece Episode A Launches

A manga adaptation of One Piece Novel A has launched in the form of One Piece Episode A (Ace), bound to offer a journey full of tears, hardships, and triumphs as the tale divulges the story of Luffy’s brother Ace.

Boichi (who did work for Dr. Stone) served as the artist for the manga, which recently launched in the 10th volume of One Piece Magazine – some sample images:

One Piece Novel A was written by Tatsuya Hamazaki and Shou Hinata and the first volume launched in Japan in May, while the second is planned to arrive this month.

A summary of the first volume of the novel:

Portgas D. Ace and an unnamed man are stranded on the East Blue island of Sixis together, and Ace nicknames him Masked Deuce. Deuce is initially wary around Ace after discovering his heritage, but after he unsuccessfully tries ambushing Ace, he regrets his actions and the two become friends. Ace winds up eating the Mera Mera no Mi on this island, and the two work together to build a ship to escape, forming the beginning of the Spade Pirates.

The first release of the manga contains 54 pages (3 colored pages) and part of the story is also available on Shonen Jump+.

One Piece fanatics will surely be desperate for an anime adaptation of the spinoff, once the manga concludes.
