Shinji Aoba, the mentally deranged individual who started the Kyoto Animation arson last July that murdered at least 36 people and maimed another 33, will soon be arrested, the Coronavirus predictably having caused a delay in the matter.
Aoba had admitted that he planned the mass murder as a result of the company allegedly “stealing his novel idea”, injuring himself during the ordeal and causing authorities to have to wait until he recovered enough to arrest him.
Kyoto police noted that they will arrest Aoba sometime on May 27th; his arrest was previously postponed due to him suffering devastating burns all over his body while he committed his twisted deed.
According to those involved in the investigation, in order to protect Aoba from any potentially hazardous diseases, suitable accommodation for him had to be found – the Kyoto prefecture police station hesitated to use their cells while the Kyoto detention center was alleged to be too deteriorated.
Osaka’s detention center was a possibility, but his relocation there had to be postponed due to an outbreak of the Coronavirus that had spread amongst the prison staff – eventually things settled down and preparations were finally able to be made.
It remains to be seen whether or not the criminal will be subjected to the death penalty.

He may not get the death penalty. I don’t know too much about Japanese law, but it tends to be universal that a criminal proven to be mentally ill cannot receive the death penalty – due to not being held responsible for their actions. He would definitely get punished, that is a guarantee. Pretty hard to look over the deaths of over 30 people, and burning an entire building to the ground.
Japan kills quite a few people. So they don’t shy from the death penalty and bonus points for how they do it. The date is unknown to anyone when its time they will go get them and execute them like that they don’t know its their time till day of.
The idea is that you’re dead the second the judge hands down your sentence. Any extra time you get is just for the convenience of their preparations.
Japanese law is very different, there is a documentary on YouTube – where if you are a foreigner you are always proven guilty of a crime even if you didn’t do it (Japanese police are corrupt & get extra tax benefits from the government for arresting people). Japanese police will take you too the station- interrogate you & make sure you sign papers & confess too crimes you never committed. f♥♥k Japan soon the US is gonna nuke them soon anyways, enjoy your Anime culture while you can….

However, the police has their methods to extract confessions and will use them with anyone who’s neither a politician or yakuza member. Those two groups are untouchable.
That is not entirely accurate. Japanese prosecutors only take on guaranteed cases where they can win, therefore the crucial component for them is the confession from the accused.
The famous 99% conviction rate Japan has is only in cases where the alleged confessed. For those who did not confess, but were still taken to trial the conviction rate is much lower (around 66%). You can find this information on Google.
Japanese society believes in remorse for ones actions being the first step in rehabilitation. Therefore for them a confession is usually pressured upon the accused or agreed upon.
Also you must remember that Japan has the right to detain an individual for upto 23 days whilst they investigate an allegation. So if you are accused of say, punching a friend, even if you get arrested but they do not have sufficient evidence to indict you, they can still hold onto you for those 23 days before they must by law indict or release you. Some people mentally are not strong enough to last the 23 days and will do anything if they think it will get them released earlier etc so they foolishly confess, even if they didn’t do it.
It should also be noted that in Japan you are not allowed to see have your lawyer present during police interrogations, unlike in America say. For foreigners the danger is the paper they will try to get you to sign after every interrogation. Its entirely in Japanese and only a fool would sign it as it’s often indicative of guilt.
One final sneaky tactic Japanese police use is the double charge tactic. So let’s say earlier they wanna nail you for hitting your friend. But in those 23 days they detained you they can’t get enough evidence to indict you. So what do they do? Make up an additional charge to keep you for another 23 days. For example: intimidation or some such bullshit. Then your 23 days without cracking are now 43 days you have to endure.
Japanese jails are not so bad but the ood portions are extremely small for a westerners, which they are aware of and the weight loss is seen as another way of making you mentally and physically fatigued.
How do I know all this? Have experience being accused of something I didn’t do in Japan and meeting the most corrupt police force on earth.
