Steins;Gate: Hiyoku Renri no Darling Possibly Getting English Localization

There are signs that Steins;Gate: Hiyoku Renri no Darling may be receiving an English-language release, after a game with a similar title was rated by the Australian government.

The Australian government’s Department of Communications and the Arts has given a PG rating to a Spike Chunsoft game titled “Steins;Gate: My Darling’s Embrace“, which may be interpreted as an English-language localization of Steins;Gate Hiyoku Renri no Darling.

The aforementioned visual novel was first released in Japan for the Xbox 360 in 2011, with PSP, PlayStation 3, PS Vita and iOS releases coming over the following two years, along with a Nintendo Switch port in March 2019. The game was also translated into Chinese and Korean.

According to the game’s VNDB profile:

After repeated D-mail experiments, Okarin jumps to a world where a three percent shift in world line was to be expected. And before he knew it, Kurisu as well as the rest of the members have been gathered and amidst preparations for a banquet.

In this world, a new gadget had been created but the group is facing some troubles. They can’t afford to pay the electricity bill due to running too many experiments. Let’s see what this new gadget can do for us…

The concept for this game is a love comedy with some sweet romance scenes and where 99 percent of the world is science but one percent is composed of… fantasies?!
