The official Twitter account for Studio Trigger’s Promare anime movie has announced the film has earned over ¥1 billion (around $9.4 million) since its premiere.
In the same tweet, the staff also announced they are planning to roll out “thank you” content in light of this milestone, which will be revealed soon:
Studio Trigger’s Promare opened in Japanese theaters on the 24th of May, 2019 and got a limited screening in the United States during this year’s Anime Expo and Otakon.
GKIDS and Fathom Events, who are responsible for the film’s North American release, will screen the dubbed version of the movie on the 17th of September and the subtitled iteration on the 19th of September respectively.
Promare will also open at select North American theaters on the 20th of September.
Isn’t this the movie that kinda ripped off the story of Fire Force?
Too similar to the other franchises and too much ovious CGI.
Even the music is similar to the old stuff.
MEhhhhhhhhhhh.
Why can’t I enjoy anime animore? Am I that much of a jaded faggot?
I really can’t enjoy this trailer, though. I see it and I feel nothing. Nothing exciting anyway.
I just see things I’ve already seen.
It’s like someone who has played one grindy mmo/game too many and now can only play a few minutes at most of something he knows is just about raising numbers with some window dressing on top and just thinks “f♥♥k, man I’ll just pretend my numbers are already high and move on”
What you’re going through is basically learning from life experience and recognizing patterns. It’s a sign of growth and gaining knowledge, and probably wisdom as well. Which is a double edged sword. On one hand, you realize all the tricks and scams that a lot of “entertainment” and other products in life rely on, so you’re not fooled by them anymore. On the other hand, all that knowledge and experience has made you cynical and wary, meaning you can’t enjoy things the way you used to with fresh eyes and an innocent, idealistic heart.
All that said, you’re still probably better off, and now you know not to waste time on things like grindy MMO’s and mobile games, and tropey, by the numbers anime and manga (and other types of entertainment including western videos and novels) so you’ll have more time and money on your hands. The fresh young kids who haven’t been exposed to tropes to death will still enjoy that stuff, but the veteran consumers of media (who may still be young age-wise, but experienced in terms of consumption) will move on to things that are fresher, or at least put a fresher and more interesting spin on old story types.
Anime is degrading. If viewer have less to expect its easier and cheaper to produce a satisfying product. Japs wish to expand west and I bet this two facts are tied, they try to train new auditory to like empty and poorly made s♥♥t. Try looking at old airing charts from 2005-2010, so much cool stuff every season, and now its hardly anything worthy. Anime from back then feels like some alternative universe where anime don’t suck balls, I feel the passion staff put into making it, and from modern stuff I feel like I would rather stare at the wall than this.
Nice try but your “2005-2010” was better can be destroyed by an older fan saying that the 90s was better, and then someone even older is going to say that the 80s is better.
I remember some fagot saying that new anime doesn’t have good fight scenes like Saint Seiya. What the f♥♥k? Saint Seiya was filled with refused frames and animation shortcuts. It was like watching an turn based jrpg.
no, around 2010 is objectively the peak of anime tv series quality
80s-90s was an OVA era.
@Chen-04
s♥♥t, yes, not anime. If you love s♥♥t this is the golden time for you.
Nah, s♥♥t gets better every year. One Punch Man (2015) absolutely destroys everything from around 2010 in the animation department.
What a surprise that the sankaku comment section is a dumpster fire.
This entire website is a dumpster fire
Then go away. You won’t be missed.
The surprising part is how your comment got shilled to the top.
Only your comment is.
Damn, someone’s butthurt
If you’re in pain, use cold packs.
Huh? Is that Kamina? :O
No, it’s nostalgia.
Surprisingly, I can’t remember a single good anime from Trigger. Even more surprisingly, I’ve watched all of their stuff up till now. I think that’s going to change..
