Dead on Arrival 6 Producer: “Jiggling is Still in the Game!!!”

Dead or Alive 6‘s producer Yohei Shimbori has seemingly engaged in some desperate damage control in a recent interview, this time with the producer revealing that the game’s beloved jiggling was “never removed”.

When questioned about Dead or Alive’s desirable jiggling:

4Gamer: By the way, will there be proper “jiggles” in Dead or Alive 6? We heard that the Soft Engine is being discontinued.

Yohei Shimbori: I had a feeling there’d be some misunderstandings, but I never once said that there won’t be any jiggles. This time around we’re going with a new engine, and we’re simply discontinuing the Soft Engine for a new one. But for now, please just look at the screen, it’s jiggling, right?

The two individuals present watched footage depicting the game’s jiggling – footage that was released stating that the “jiggling is back” (whether or not this was added last minute as an attempt to backpedal and appease fans is not certain):

The producer also clarified that the extent of the jiggling depends on the outfit the character is wearing:

4Gamer: It certainly is jiggly…

Yohei Shimbori: Moreover, the jiggles vary depending on the costumes. Characters that wear tougher clothing don’t show much jiggles. From here on we’ll release more loose clothing, and they’ll certainly have a different kind of jiggle, so do please look forward to seeing those.

The fact that the ladies in the previous games jiggled all over was deemed “no good” by Shimbori, in a game where giant tentacle monsters reign and fighters can survive being viciously pummeled:

4Gamer: The way it changes based on different clothing is a very realistic degree of showing jiggles.

Yohei Shimbori: In any case, thinking you can just have the entire body jiggle all over is no good. I’m pushing the engineering department’s physics team to just focus on jiggling as we create the world’s number one physics engine. It currently doesn’t have a name, so please just call it the New Engine. That’s what we’ve instructed the overseas media as well.

4Gamer: I see. New Engine, huh.

Yohei Shimbori: A natural exterior and a springy interior is the way of jiggle we’re aiming for, and I’m confident no one will likely be able to catch up with this technology we’re creating!

Some rather vital new screenshots from Famitsu were also recently divulged, showcasing Kasumi in her original outfit and Lei Fang in her high-cut China dress:

This may not prove to be enough for the numerous diehard fans who have already cast the series aside at this point, as the producer’s desire to make the girls “less sexualized” and his claim that large-breasted women are inhuman indicate the diverse new demographic he is trying to pander to at the expense of stalwarts supporters of the series.
