The next entry into the exhaustively extensive Atelier series has been revealed to be “Nelke and the Legendary Alchemists”, the title providing a few new ideas in that players control a girl inexperienced in the ways of alchemy – town construction and management also plays a central role.
A handful of screenshots showcasing the game’s main town-building mechanic:
Main heroine Nelke will apparently be learning the ways of alchemy through the franchise’s former characters:
The game’s 20th anniversary edition comes with a Nelke costume, a visual book, a cloth poster, the soundtrack, a clear poster, a set of 50 tin badges possessing designs of numerous Atelier characters, an acrylic Nelke figure and a large poster:
Atelier fans can expect Nelke and the Legendary Alchemists to launch sometime this year in Japan for the PS4, Vita and Switch.
So it’s Atelier Dark Cloud then? You know how Level 5 pretty much started the town building thing in RPGs.
Is that Klein? Whoa, never expected to see him again. Guessing this is a spin off game rather than a new trilogy?
20 years in, still looks awful.
That’s because they make the games in 12 months or some s♥♥t like that. With heavy emphasis on reusing assets. Gusts business model means they have to keep churning out games quickly to stay afloat or they go bust.
The alchemy system in this franchise rather confusing for me, it’s hard for a newbie to get into. Also it lacks tutorial as well.
I think every one of the recent games (At least Atelier Sophie and Firis) have had tutorials that are pretty easy to follow. At least, they do in the Japanese versions.
The town building and managment might actually be interesting^ , just hope the alchemy system will be nice.
Also where Firis, lydie and suelle ?mb including some nostalgic characters from salburg, gramnad and iris series ?
I do find suprising Ayesha is there, so in the end is it in the same world ? the worlds are so different throughout the series makes you wonder uh
