A new virtual reality game has been announced for the popular Sword Art Online, forcing players into the same scenario as the anime and causing many to hope it will be a full-fledged title and not just a 20-minute gimmick meant to show off the tech…
The game, entitled Sword Art Online: Replication, will be created by Bandai Namco in collaboration with NTT Docomo, a sketch of the player’s character and original heroine Misty was also released:
A test demonstration will commence at the Tokyo Solomachi from December 8th until December 10th, participants will join forces with other Sword Art Online characters in the demo – those interested can apply for the demonstration now.
If it would contain adult content then it maybe will be viable(if the graphic is decent enough).

SAO was a piece of s♥♥t from the get go. It mainly targeted losers that want to escape their sad meaningless life. This series is just a big advert.

Thank you for your concerns, we have a ton of other normal games with VR support and anime mods, as well as quite a few VR anime & jgame in beta.
I like all seasons of SAO so far, as well as almost all other mainstream or alternative anime, and don’t bitch about every anime except for the one true animu or live actions.
So retarded back when I had a lot less free time, I actually listerned to the likes of you, and put off SAO over other anime titles for a while.

Even if this game gets a ton of work done on it, VR is still a pretty fledgling gaming system.

Well graphically it can look good, the problem is well, getting people to get it with how expensive vr setups are. I think going the way .hack does would be better, it used a VR helm and a controller that was 1 handed iirc.
People need to realize that Sword Art Online is a fan-fic based on .Hack//
With that said, many of the mechanics established in .Hack// would actually make for a better game than SAO has. Not to mention that .Hack// is far more likely achievable given our technology than SAO… The only thing that they’d have to implement is a feature in-game that when you hear a ping sound your body falls comatose while your mind remains trapped in the game until Kite and Black Rose clear the game (with the help of Helba’s cheat “hack”)
