Disgruntled Resident Evil fans celebrating over the conclusion of the highly despised western film series may be disappointed to know that the franchise is getting rebooted, possibly proving that the movies were really only about the money after all.
Martin Moszkowicz (chairman of the board at Constantin Film, which owns the movie franchise) confirmed that the Resident Evil movie series is indeed being rebooted, naturally causing hardcore Resident Evil devotees to hope that they will be drastically improved, though considering Hollywood’s record in both reboots and video-game adaptations this seems rather unlikely.
The series consisted of six films, all of which starred Milla Jovovich – who will not be starring in the reboot – and were produced by her husband Paul W.S. Anderson, with Anderson’s participation on the reboot being regarded as “open to question”.
Considering the final movie managed to secure the most profits of the entire franchise, the decision to reboot it was likely inevitable – six new films are reportedly on the way, potentially giving angered fans yet more reason to complain and further reinforcing the fact that Hollywood seems incapable of adapting Japanese franchises.
Fuk this s♥♥t we need resident evil 7 the movie. Dining with the bakers
What isnt about money these days? The producers of the exoendables even admitted that movies now are only meant to make quick bursts of money
That’s what happens in capitalism, capital is used as the main focus and means of measuring anything. Not that the alternatives are much better…
Well this should Good

maybe they’ll actually follow the game and make the actual game cast the main leads rather then supporting cast members.
American fans of Resident Evil games enjoy the scares, atmosphere, and suspense of what just might be around that next corner.
Chinese fans of Resident Evil games enjoy the pow pow pow!!! of firearms.
The Resident Evil movies begun with scares, atmosphere, and suspense of what just might be around that next corner…with a good helpings of chunks of gore and cheese. The Resident Evil movies ended with a prevalence of pow pow pow!!!
American fans hated this change.
Chinese fans spooged their seats in glee of this change.
Resident Evil movies make far more cash in China than they ever did in America.
Guess what the reboot is gonna be like: The early games, or pow pow pow!!!
Chinese… well I guess I am not Chinese enough coz I like the horror more than the stupid movie. I don’t even think the later RE games are better than RE 1 to 3 (except the remake of 1…still waiting for the remake of RE3 and 2) Anyway, I am a disgrace to my race and culture. Also, there is no one definition of “Chinese”, it’s like saying Canadians are Americans and the British are also Americans. With such wide landmass and extreme distinct of culture within the mainland and politic instability, I hope you only refer to the People Republic of China….though, they are not real Chinese coz they destroyed most Chinese culture during their so-called Culture revolution and focus on monetary growth. I hope I didn’t bore you with the lecture but I gotta point these out. I don’t wanna be considered as one of those savages and I am sick of it….I think it’s my curse though….to be born with such skin and appearance.
It’s pretty obvious that when there’s a distinction of “American” vs “Chinese”, that we’re talking about nationalities (as in those living within a certain nations borders) and not ethnicities. Ticket sales from China blow apart the rest of the world when it comes to these movies, along with movies like Pacific Rim (which is also getting a sequel thanks to ticket sales from China).
