The much feared Korean live action drama for the highly esteemed IdolMaster franchise has revealed the 19 finalists attempting to win a role, with numerous dedicated IdolMaster fans still wishing that the drama wasn’t being created at all.
While the audition was open to all nationalities, some may be disappointed by the fact that only one Japanese actress managed to secure a spot in the finals:
The drama is also being planned for a global airing, though no official debut date has yet been announced.
The sole Japanese finalist, Yukika Teramoto, is also an anime voice actress. She plays both Chiri Nakazato and Misaki Amano in Seitokai Yakuindomo.
What. I can’t tell who anyone is supposed to be.
I believe that all the idols are supposed to be original and unique. None of them are supposed to portray any existing anime characters.
Most of K-drama are cliché to death and cheesy, evspecially among the most popular ones. And popular doesn’t mean quality, only very few are really good.
This could be the icing on the cake.
Am I the only one spotting a few horse faces among the finalists? Some looks cute though.
Not putting much hopes on the drama, could be so bad that its kind of fun actually.
God, please no. This is not something for live action. Idolmaster is such a fantasy, oversimplified and sanitized version of the idol industry it would never work irl. It needs to stay in the virtual world.
Its pop idol K-drama,there is going to be backstabing and distrust written in anyways. So no wories.
