Final Fantasy legend Tetsuya Nomura has revealed that a collaboration game between Square Enix and virtual diva Hatsune Miku with his involvement may be underway.
A peculiar sign in New York depicting Nomura’s artistic rendition of Hatsune Miku had announced the news of his collaboration with the holographic idol, and in an interview he mentioned the “possibility” of a game collaboration, though not much else had been revealed other than this:
The interview, by Weekly Famitsu, inquired about the possibility of a Square Enix-made Vocaloid game, to which Nomura replied that he had already been discussing just such an opportunity with producer Shinji Hashimoto.
In addition, Nomura also revealed that his involvement with so many projects at the moment has filled his schedule until 2019 – not good news for anyone hoping for a change in direction for the rather put upon Final Fantasy franchise.
