The original western release, with hairy butch pirate:
The Japanese version, with buxom bishoujo piratess:
Here’s the awful truth about the Japanese male otaku:
Deep down every Japanese male otaku WISHES TO BECOME A WOMAN.
Notice how they never make figurines of any male characters?
The Japanese male otaku does not identify in any way with any male characters. Sure they make the excuse that “I only fap to female figures.” Still, wouldn’t they at SOME point want to have some representation of the main character—who is usually male, that they HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMON WITH?
No. They HATE being male. And would like to become a hot chick with a big pair of tits.
There are 3 main characters in the game. A girl character that looks somewhat like the Japanese boxart IS in the game.
Arrr! I’ll be takin’ the wench!
This really makes me laugh, amusing indeed.
Awesome!!!
So opposite when Japanese games gets adapted in West and gets some ludicrous macho covers. Take Rockman for example.
