Disgaea 4 has been announced as costing as much as ¥9,975, although fortunately comparisons reveal it is looking rather good – as visible in the above comparison.
The limited edition comes in at an astonishing ¥9,975 ($115), but even the peasant edition comes in at ¥7,140 ($85).
The high cost of the limited edition presumably is in large part due to the Fuuka Nendoroid Puchi, although the edition also includes the OST and a few cards and a booklet.
No word on DLC has been released, but if Disgaea 3 is anything to go by Nippon Ichi will be taking the opportunity to nickel and dime series fans with a dozen $2 characters.
The “network elements” – apparently the randomly appearing interdimensional pirates from the last two games can now actually take the form of other human players…
In the graphical department, the game, whilst still looking distinctly primitive, has at least upgraded its sprites from the shamefully low resolution of the previous title to something more reasonable, and looks quite nice as a result – compare:
Rarely has a franchise looked at once so bad and so good at the same time.
*Spend all money making HD sprites*
*Do nothing with the music*
*Do nothing with the 3d backdrops*
*Do nothing with the animations*
Wow that Promotional Video really turned me off
GG NIS its been fun but I think its time you closed down.
I’d even pay 300$ for Disgaea 4 if I have to! <3
f♥♥k ps3. i didn’t get disgaea 3 and if it’s a ps3 only, i guess i won’t be getting disgaea 4. shame since the main character looks cool for the first time since disgaea 1
Woah, there are curves in the sprites!
although the game looks fun, personally I’d prefer a sequel to the anime. I may, eventually get the game.
