Anime is in vogue, literally, for the Japanese edition of glossy fashion rag Vogue, Vogue Nippon, is covering manga and anime of interest to “fashionistas”.
“Super-sexy and ultra-cool manga yield super-style, enjoyed the world over!” gushes the cover. This apparently includes PreCure, Evangelion, Dejiko and Sekirei, all renowned for their style…
The rag goes on to to explain some of the fashions featured in anime which impress it, though megane, nekomimi and sukumizu are inexplicably omitted in favour of a variety of bursting bodices and tight garments. Clearly tastes differ…

Yay and all for 2D on the inside of the magazine… but what’s up with the “prize” they chose for the front cover?
Precure is high fashion! Yes. I fully agree Yumehara is original.
I would be really happy if Maid Style outfits became the craze of 2009. Can you imagine it? If you can, open your window and watch something wonderful. If not… well… guess you could use a few levels in delusion.
