The official Macross F itasha famed for its superb quality and highly ero artwork of Ranka Lee and Sheryl Nome in nude, provocative poses (explicit enough to draw police attention) received a redecorating at the recent anniversary event celebrating the launch date of the SDF-1 Macross in the originals series’ timeline.
The two songstresses adorn the majority of the itasha, as expected, but the image selected for the van’s roof is quite a shocker…
The remodeling was actually done in front of attendees at the Macross event, which carried the impressive full title of: “Macross Super-Dimensional Space Launch Ceremony It’s really already 2009! It’s 2/22(Nyan Nyan Nyan) Deculture!”
The banner on the side of the itasha advertises the upcoming fall release of the Macross F theatrical movie that was first announced following the airing of the final episode last year. The movie theme is visible on much of the itasha, as seen in the filmreel motif that dominates the vertical axis of the car.
It continues onto the roof of the vehicle, which contains what is likely the most memorable artwork on the new version of the itasha…
The series’ male lead, Alto Saotome (looking as manly as ever), with hands gleefully intertwined with those of bespectacled supporting character Michel Blanc (aka Michael or Mikhail, his official name of ミハエル / Mihaeru is somewhat confusing to romanize).
It’s obviously a parody of the cover to the “Lion” single CD, which is also shown on the rear end of the vehicle in its original form.
A shot of the passenger side of the car, with Ranka doing her lovely nose-art. I can’t find any images of the driver’s side, but apparently it displays Sheryl in her whip-holding dominatrix image, as seen on the Macross Ero-CD stickers and further below in the post.
Not-so interesting tidbit: I was actually one of the first viewers of the live broadcast when Ranka’s nose-art first appears to capture it for uploading. If you followed the series on TV very closely, it was most likely my screencap you first saw online.
The front hood being applied.
Front hood finished.
The Lion cover image I mentioned earlier.
Pity that their wonderfully drawn signatures couldn’t make it onto the image here…
Conveniently, the “car cover sheets” used to decorate the itasha as shown above were on sale.
An official “UN Spacy” ita-bicycle. (UN Spacy is the nickname of the regular army throughout Macross series.)
Ranka and Sheryl cosplayers.
Move the mosaic censoring blocks a meter or so downwards and perhaps it would look like the brand new Cosplayer Frontier parody AV from TMA?

For comparison’s sake, below are some images of how the Macross ero-van originally appeared…

Lol, a tricked out bicycle. I should do something like that to mine. :O
Do want!
Where I can buy that ???
Buying it might be difficult internationally.
Auction sites like Yahoo JP (and possibly proxy services) would likely be your best bet. The original manufacturer does have a page where you can find item name’s to copy/paste into search fields:

wtf fall into the machines hands.
Oh no!
I missed the Macross launch date?
*Bummed*
I already miss the ‘Hard on’ image.
