The release of the second Neon Genesis Evangelion movie has been announced as being due in early summer 2009, with it entitled ヱヴァンゲリヲン新劇場版:破 (Evangelion Shingekijoban: Ha), and carrying the official English title of Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance.
Additionally, their promotional poster has been updated with what appears to be the new female character.

Production IG and Fuji TV are said to be laying down the gauntlet to Hollywood, with their just announced CG film collaboration, provisionally titled ホッタラケの島 / Hottarake no Shima, set to be a family friendly fantasy tale of a girl mixed up with a mysterious world. Most original.

It has been announced that the new Nintendo DSi is set to get upgrades in line with what was rumoured, with Nintendo’s handheld now looking to be part of a wider plan to create a media distribution platform. The device will go on sale in November for ¥18,900, with an international release to follow in 2009.

The Nintendo Wii is set to get a Video On Demand service this December, called みんなのシアター Wii / Wii Theatre for Everyone, and developed by Fujisoft, with anime and movies to be available via streaming download. Each episode is projected to cost from 100-400 Wii Points (or ¥100-400), and the WiiWare itself another ¥500.

Fans of the Nintendo DS will be excited to learn of the upcoming new model, set to include a camera and music player (able to record music from CDs and the like), and improved memory card and wireless networking capabilities. A larger screen is also promised.
It is to go sale before the year is out, at a price of ¥16,800.

As if the news of Code Eros and ClannAV were not enough, and the recently released Evangelion AV not execrable enough, cosplay “parody” porn producer TLA is set to bring us the girls of Idol Master portrayed by porn stars in a full adult film, with music and dancing promised in addition to the obvious.
From what they have revealed, fan favourite Makoto seems to be strangely unrepresented…
