  Aside from Tezuka’s work being highly stylized, he also is basically the godfather of anime, so in a way I think he transcends the list. Somehow it would be disrespectful to compare him skill-wise to the other names on this list.

  Yeah, Evangelion was a bit of an anticlimax. That’s why they remade the last two episodes.
