The official Macross F itasha famed for its superb quality and highly ero artwork of Ranka Lee and Sheryl Nome in nude, provocative poses (explicit enough to draw police attention) received a redecorating at the recent anniversary event celebrating the launch date of the SDF-1 Macross in the originals series’ timeline.
The two songstresses adorn the majority of the itasha, as expected, but the image selected for the van’s roof is quite a shocker…
The remodeling was actually done in front of attendees at the Macross event, which carried the impressive full title of: “Macross Super-Dimensional Space Launch Ceremony It’s really already 2009! It’s 2/22(Nyan Nyan Nyan) Deculture!”
The banner on the side of the itasha advertises the upcoming fall release of the Macross F theatrical movie that was first announced following the airing of the final episode last year. The movie theme is visible on much of the itasha, as seen in the filmreel motif that dominates the vertical axis of the car.
It continues onto the roof of the vehicle, which contains what is likely the most memorable artwork on the new version of the itasha…
The series’ male lead, Alto Saotome (looking as manly as ever), with hands gleefully intertwined with those of bespectacled supporting character Michel Blanc (aka Michael or Mikhail, his official name of ミハエル / Mihaeru is somewhat confusing to romanize).
It’s obviously a parody of the cover to the “Lion” single CD, which is also shown on the rear end of the vehicle in its original form.
A shot of the passenger side of the car, with Ranka doing her lovely nose-art. I can’t find any images of the driver’s side, but apparently it displays Sheryl in her whip-holding dominatrix image, as seen on the Macross Ero-CD stickers and further below in the post.
Not-so interesting tidbit: I was actually one of the first viewers of the live broadcast when Ranka’s nose-art first appears to capture it for uploading. If you followed the series on TV very closely, it was most likely my screencap you first saw online.
The front hood being applied.
Front hood finished.
The Lion cover image I mentioned earlier.
Pity that their wonderfully drawn signatures couldn’t make it onto the image here…
Conveniently, the “car cover sheets” used to decorate the itasha as shown above were on sale.
An official “UN Spacy” ita-bicycle. (UN Spacy is the nickname of the regular army throughout Macross series.)
Ranka and Sheryl cosplayers.
Move the mosaic censoring blocks a meter or so downwards and perhaps it would look like the brand new Cosplayer Frontier parody AV from TMA?
Via Akiba Keikaku.
For comparison’s sake, below are some images of how the Macross ero-van originally appeared…

Lol, a tricked out bicycle. I should do something like that to mine. :O
Do want!
Where I can buy that ???
Buying it might be difficult internationally.
Auction sites like Yahoo JP (and possibly proxy services) would likely be your best bet. The original manufacturer does have a page where you can find item name’s to copy/paste into search fields:

wtf fall into the machines hands.
Oh no!
I missed the Macross launch date?
*Bummed*
I already miss the ‘Hard on’ image.
Damn, someone find out how much this costs to put on your car
Yes, because two guys holding hands automatically makes them gay.
For some reason, when a girl fondles another girl’s breasts, it can be construed as nonromantic playfulness, but any kind of male touching is automatically flaming homosexual.
Well, I don’t expect SC to be politically correct…
wow…
looks like the cosplying rawks!
Definitely original.
Original for me
I love that ‘Grave’ cover sheet. Such an erotic image of Sheryl.
the car’s been overly designed but my goodness,i love the bike!
Original one looked better imo
I wonder how much will it cost you to Itasha’d your car
eh, that yaoi artwork has been out for a long time. I saw that in Kinokuniya the other day

the only thing they forgot is the rims…
I just can’t get pass those ice cream truck wheels. I like the last one but those damn wheels are too distracting.
O wow.. I’m in one of the pictures.
Feel free to send us an edited photo with an arrow pointing you out, if you want. ^^
Voted for the new one. I really wanted that on my car.
still.. i like the original.!
I’m with the new one…
what do you call that big sticker?
I want the Monster Girl sticker.
Well, actually, I want the MAC-III that goes with the sticker more!
The ones attached to the itasha?
The sign literally says “car wrapper sheet”, but I gave it as car cover sheet for some reason…
what’s it made from? Vinyls?
Most likely made out of Vynil/PVC with an adhesive layer on the back. To call it a car cover sheet would be misleading in my opinion, as those are protective sheets covering the entire car you’d normally only find in car transportation.
It looks to me like a decal from something like an MG Gundam kit. Just either wipe it with water or use heat to apply it
Yup. Don’t think they would airbrush the car like that…..
I have no idea what its made from – the manufacturer’s site doesn’t say, so I’m guessing there’s a standard material these are made from that doesn’t even bother a mention.
Searching for “マクロスFカーラップシート” should find some more information if needed.
how much coste if i put on my car ??????
