Rockman X, the Rockman subseries that began on SNES and kickstarted the series’ shift to a darker, story-focused tone, celebrates its 30th anniversary by kicking fans with an NFT minting campaign of the mobile game spinoff.
As expected, the move angered fans of X and Zero, especially as the NFTs were essentially cribbing off classic Rockman’s design in 8-bit, and not even the series it’s supposed to be from. But the ire only grew stronger as this is one of the only things Capcom has announced for the anniversary, without any fanfare at all.
Some of the reactions seen online:
And thus, the Mega Man fandom keeps waiting. The next Capcom fuckup can’t be far.
Having had expectations for Crapcom is where they went wrong.
Capcom fans are retarded after all. I can’t help those idiots.
Crapcom is long dead at this point and a fully hollow bu$ine$$ shell.
