Love Live Fantasy Spinoff Getting Its Own Video Game

Another April Fools’ Day joke is made into reality with Love Live! Sunshine’s spinoff Genjitsu no Yohane, which now has an upcoming platformer game adaptation in addition to the TV anime series coming later this year.

For those not really into idols, the spinoff features Yohane and the girls from Love Live! Sunshine adventuring around the port town of Numazu, with Yohane taking charge as an adventurer. The game takes place in an underwater dungeon that changes every time she enters, where she’ll need to rescue her friends, gaining new abilities with each one she rescues.

The game is being developed by Inti Creates, the developer behind several Megaman games and the Gunvolt series.
