Lovers of classic turn-based RPGs will be enamored by Sea of Stars as the game boasts extravagant pixel art and unique combat, and sure to have those who grew up with such titles feeling glad there are others who appreciate the classic genre.
The game focuses on two “Children of the Solstice” who are meant to combine the powers of the sun and moon to wield powerful “Eclipse Magic”, which is the only way to kill the constructs of the diabolical alchemist “The Fleshmancer”.
Timed hits for both player and enemy attacks, a “locks” system, and combos are available as mechanics, and there are no random encounters or grinding.
Yasunori Mitsuda, who did the music for Chrono Trigger and other franchises, previously shared a video for Sea of Stars whilst his first guest track in the game, “Coral Cascades”, could be heard:

Sea of Stars launches for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC come August 29th.
Guaranteed to have cringy writing though. Westerners are incapable of making anything Japan inspired without turning the cringe dial up to 11.
First few reviews mention that the writing is bad lol
What reviews? The game’s not finished.
It shows that you suffered a lot of bullying as a child.
what happened? Tyrone took your lunch every day? or they just made fun of you for being ugly.
Now that you are an old man, it is clear that you have not yet overcome those childhood traumas.
Don’t worry p3d0anon.
Here you can release all that hatred you have towards the West.

Pathetic.
Guaranteed to be pozzed western garbage
Literally miscegenation propaganda. No buy.
Not impressed with the western looking art, to be honest.
It’s a skinsuit. Simple as that.
Pixel art and composer everyone liked. Add ‘no random encounters or grinding’ (code for ‘breeze through the game’), and you have a stock modern western game with a large, writhing tentacle around something you love.
If you google some of the Concept Art, it actually looks pretty nice. Reminds me of FF Tactics or Bravely Default artstyle. Apparently, they decided to use a different, Western looking artstyle for in-game, a terrible decision….
Maybe because its a western game? Retard
Of course they’d have a token “based” black guy. Looks as bad as Star Dew Valley. -_-
