Tencent has acquired a 20% stake in Korean developer SHIFT UP, known for the recently-released smartphone game Goddess of Victory: Nikke, and the upcoming Stellar Blade, in its latest move to get its finger in as many pies as possible.
According to Korean media, Tencent has been looking to acquire shares of SHIFT UP for a while now, but this was not realized due to being blocked by founding members of the company. However, now that they have acquired shares, Tencent now holds the 2nd largest amount of shares, after founder Kim Hyung-tae.
Currently, Tencent publishes the global version of Nikke, and the game recently got into controversy over censored designs. Meanwhile, Stellar Blade is already being published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, but it remains to be seen if Tencent’s newfound stake in the company will affect the upcoming PS5 title.
God fucking dammit, f♥♥k tencent. Here is why nikke was censored.
another idiot who believed that this game was not going to be censored, sooner or later it would happen, in fact the Nikke themselves said it at the beginning when they were asked if they would censor the game, and they said they would make “changes” so they were already warned, what waste their time like idiots and have not remembered is different.
And they resort to banning account of free players who gave it bad reviews and asking them to change the review.
That means there are many retard losers out there giving those commie chinks money
Huh I didn’t know that. What was censored from it?
Almost all characters were censored.
CCP owns u now
Tencent + Sony lmao.
That doesn’t affect the retarded westerners who will still pay for the game.
Actually F2P is most prominent in china and asian countries, but yeah, thanks to the non-gamer smartphone market the cancer has caught on in the west….
less words, asians (like me) are the retards.

The worst thing is that there are idiots who believed that they were not going to censor the game, when on this same page they posted the news that a user had asked the CEO of Nikke if they were going to censor the game in the future, and those of the same CEO said that they would make “changes”, the answer was obvious… and even so, like idiots, they continued spending money there.
cry more xinko 😄
ok nintard
keep projecting
ok nintard
One more down.. The chinese are doing the job of censors in the west at this point! The Korean market is the only place not at least somewhat cucked at this point but that is now quickly changing.
“OMG your product is so good and loved, we want in…. and make these changes!”
Funny thing is I just now know what Tencent is after watching this video earlier. This indeed is what made Goddess of Victory Nikke the way it is now. That’s also explains why the game had so many people known about it due to the advertisement funded by Tencent. Otherwise it would be like Destiny Child. A game that lacks advertisement but a great generous nature of getting stuff that you wanted. The video is found on Youtube channel Moon. It currently has almost 800k subs.
