A new original anime is coming to Japanese airwaves as Akiba Meido Sensou (Akiba Maid War) focuses on thrilling Akihabara otaku life, with hundreds of cute maids competing for attention towards their business by performing the usual moe maid cafe services, and sure to be relatable to many anime watchers.
The anime follows Kazuhira Nagomi, as she travels to Tokyo to become an Akihabara maid, and Kazutoshi Ranko, a retired maid who has not been to Akihabara for some time – a visual containing the two main heroines handing out flyers:

God I was in Akiba a few years ago and coming out of a store late at night, walking down a nearly unlit alley about 20 meidos all turned at us at once, it was something like out of a horror film.
This anime is bringing some nightmarish energy.
