It has been suggested that Duel Princess, a side-scrolling tower defense title from Qureate, has been ousted from Steam in true censorial style, a turn of events that has become too common for the service and sure to have some suspecting the game’s clothes-ripping elements to be the likely reason.
Duel Princess is launching for the Nintendo Switch on January 13th and a Steam release was planned as well, but according to one Twitter user, the title was added to the large list keeping track of the countless games banned from Steam:
For those not familiar, Duel Princess has no actual nudity, though there are elements that cause the girls to have their clothes torn up, and with such content depicted in an anime style, it almost seemed to be blatantly asking Steam to ban the game.
Sample screenshots of the game’s sexier moments that likely led to its supposed removal from Steam:
That bans and censorship list is enormous. Someone should just go shoot the fat piece of s♥♥t Gabe Newell in the head and be done with it, he is too far gone woke to be cured by the mental hospital anymore
He and every other Valve employee deserved to die when he started his brainwashing campaign in 2003. He pushed to normalize most of the bad practices plaguing the industry today far harder than anyone else.
It’s not just that fat faggot (((Gabe))) that needs a good one to the head. All of the faggots in valve need to go and don’t forget the (((ADL)))
You shouldn’t use data mining spyware console wannabe platforms such as Steam and shouldn’t pay for digital distribution.
why?
man steam is becoming worse and worse
the f♥♥k is even going on with steam this is like the 2nd anime game to get fucked over for no reason
and im sure theres more
steam starting the new year very shitty
again can we get a new PC game place cause steam just looks to get worse and worse need a new place
Hey zoomer, it used to be that you didn’t need any console wannabe platform or online authorization, hell even an internet connection, to legally play new games on PC, and player hosted servers, LAN, and direct connect used to be options too so even pirates could play MP, all without giving some rotten company money for a download
PC game “places” are the problem
The Steam bans continue to be random and unreasonable. Glad I haven’t bought a game on there in years.
As for Duel Princess – I liked the art and lighthearted story in Prison Princess, so I’ll definitely give it a try on Switch.
Considering Hentai vs. Evil was released on steam a couple months ago, features clothes destruction, and *does* have full nudity, I’m willing to bet clothes ripping isn’t what got this game rejected. It’s more likely that the game has a l♥♥i or l♥♥i-like character put into too sexually suggestive of a position. That’s something Steam has always rejected games for and it’s not something that’s going to change any time soon.
