A supposed case of indecent assault recently took place at Florida furry convention Megaplex, bound to prove unsurprising to those unfortunately familiar with the degeneracy of the furry fandom as such a community is infamously known to be overrun with grotesque fetishists, sexual deviants, and criminals.
The alleged victim released several tweets discussing the details of their assault and how they found the assailant was a sex offender, and that the con staff did nothing to prevent the situation:

At first I felt sorry for her, but after reading, I feel like she is just making up stories or exaggerating. She just wants attention because being a victim is a trend these days.

If a convention is open to the public then anyone you might meet on a street corner is potentially there. They can’t exactly do a background check on every attendee, and their security staff aren’t law enforcement officers. If you can’t deal with that, stay home. After all, it’s not the registered sex offenders you have to worry about, it’s the as-yet unregistered ones.
