Japanese websites have been sharing one of the official illustrations of New Jersey and comparing it with another piece of art that has the girl taking a similar stance:

Considering how common such a pose is, observers might not be very convinced, especially due to the overlapped illustrations not even entirely matching up.
The original artist is also apparently of the notion that an Azur Lane artist traced his work.
Azur Lane has been hit with accusations of tracing several times over the years, with this instance perhaps serving as one of the weaker ones.
Even with overlaying it doesn’t match and the only similar looking is the left leg positioning. Do people even know what TRACING means?
