I get my anime from fansubbing groups still. I prefer non-professionals that sometimes give you stuff like “All according to keikaku” over the official anime-fan haters that fill the ranks of western distributing platforms.

I used to be part of a “dual-audio” anime group(prefer not to say who), we took English subtitles/QC very seriously & tried stay as close as possible to the original language translations. Funimation & Aniplex USA should be ashamed!

Seriously, just go learn the language. You get to enjoy the complete story immediately after release for not just anime but even mangas, games and novels too. You can even get news directly off Japanese news sites at that, which is way faster and usually more accurate than english sites.
And you can possibly even get a better paying job which utilizes Japanese.
