The Love Live! franchise will be continuing onward as a new project has been announced to be in the works, unfortunately lacking specific details as to whether or not it is perhaps a new anime, game or something else.
Recently the “Love Live! Series 9th Anniversary Love Live! Fes” event was held at the Saitama Super Arena in honor of the franchise’s 9th anniversary, after concluding on January 19th, it was announced that a “new project” would be commencing.
Details on this new project are coming January 30th in the Love Live! Days Love Live! Sougou Magazine Volume 5.
Muse, a school idol group from Love Live’s first season, also released a sample for their new single “A song for You! You? You!!”:
The single releases March 25th.
lets hope its better than sunshine
I think we can all predict the plot for the third series
– Hyper energentic but slightly ditzy girl wants to form an idol group
– Their school is in danger of closing(gasp)
– Trials and tribulations along the way of recruiting each new member
– The group meet their big “rivals”
– The group qualify for Love Live
– The group “win” Love live(Though losing would make it more original)
– The school either closes or stays open
– Rinse and repeat.
The new group has already been revealed, as well as a picture of their new anime (about a month ago now??). The mobile game “Love Live All Stars” also covers a bit of their story as well. Has some cliche, but not as much as you listed here. Also, the group performs as 9 individuals with friendly competing against each other, because they want to emphasis their individual characteristics.
Nijigasaki might actually be a transitional group between Aqours and the next main group.
Don’t forget that there will be nine girls in the group, to maximize merch sales.
And two sets of Nendoroids for each character. One in Idol uniform the other school.
well shitty
I loved µ’s, and still do. But with Sunshine, and now whatever this will be, they’re going to the same well too many times.
Same, i love Muse cause it was a better story overall, then sunshine showed the story was almost none existant or just recycled.
Love Live with Battle Royale (movie) inspired sounds good…
Good
The least surprising news of the decade if there was any. Reason?
– Each Love Live series has 100s of anime figures
– Each Love Live series has dozens of CD releases
– Each Love Live series has dozens of live concerts
– Each Love Live series has 100s of types of merch
– Each Love Live series has a theatrical movie at the end of each run
You really think Sunrise will give up a license to print money? ha.
And the most important of all things: more LL doujins and CG sets on Comikets, Pixiv, boorus, etc.
