This year’s EVO 2019 fighting game tournament was ripe with surprises, both in terms of winners as well as new character and game teases. One such surprise reveal featured a new Guilty Gear title by Arc System Works.
While 2014’s Guilty Gear Xrd was lauded for its phenomenal graphics, the currently unnamed new entry into the Guilty Gear franchise has built even further on this concept by promising improved models and visuals – the reveal trailer involving a battle between Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske and a new character:
The currently unnamed Guilty Gear is set to be released sometime in 2020. No available platforms for the new Guilty Gear title have been revealed yet.
Hopefully Baiken will be in the normal roster and not DLC again.
top tier waifu right there.
This is the one thing that kept me from buying these games: horrendous DLC pricing.
Just include everything in the base game. DLC need to die in a dumpster fire.
Yeah and hopefully there will be one game and not four of the same game for $40 each time that adds minor changes that can simply be patched in.
Ramlethal showcase pls
Another n♥♥♥♥r character?
I’m really not trying to be racist, but my first thought when he appeared was “remember when the concept of a black samurai/martial artist was a joke”?
Maybe you should read up about Nobunaga Oda’s retainer Yasuke? =__=
Wat, this looks way worse than Xrd. It looks like it’s using shitty UE4 style lighting and shading and the polygons are way more obvious. Xrds 2d styled shading looks so much better and cleaner.
You sir are more blind then a fucking blind man. It looks 10x better than Xrd ever did.
If there’s one thing Arcsys does phenomenally well, it’s the graphics. The only studio pushing the boundaries for anime themed games.
If there’s another thing they do phenomenally well, it’s the gameplay; really looking forward to seeing what craziness we’ll get out of this game… Also looking forward to the diehard Capcom fans’ frustrated tears as they fervently try to defend the idea that Capcom is still the king of fighting games, even though it’s pretty much official by now that Arcsys have dethroned them.
