The Anime Expo 2019 committee announced Studio Trigger’s latest anime film Promare will have its North American premiere at this year’s Anime Expo convention.
The official synopsis of the movie:
The first feature-length film from the acclaimed Studio TRIGGER, creators of the hit series KILL la KILL and Little Witch Academia, and director Hiroyuki Imaishi (GURREN LAGANN, KILL la KILL), Promare uses a bold cel-shaded visual style to tell a blistering action-adventure story, and is the spiritual successor to many of director Imaishi’s former works.
Thirty years have passed since the appearance of Burnish, a race of flame-wielding mutant beings, who destroyed half of the world with fire. When a new group of aggressive mutants calling themselves “Mad Burnish” appears, the epic battle between Galo Thymos, a new member of the anti-Burnish rescue team “Burning Rescue,” and Lio Fotia, the leader of “Mad Burnish” begins.
Director Hiroyuki Imaishi, creative director Hiromi Wakabayashi and character designer Shigeto Koyama will attend the event for discussion after the screening of the film.
Promare will debut at a special Anime Expo screening event on the 5th of July. The movie will be premiered in North American theaters sometime in September of 2019.
Love their style, lookin’ forward to this too 🙂
Thought I couldn’t give any less of a s♥♥t about studio trigger’s crappy doodles after Little Witch Academia but they still seem to be dead set on trying to impress the easiest crowd (adults who watch Cartoon Network) with their “wacky” style with no substance and come up with this homosex movie, Things would’ve been a lot better if Gainax was still around.
this is the first time i’ve seen this -not- heavily s♥♥t on.
Is it any good? Seeing way too many similarities with their past works
