Lupin III‘s creator Kazuhiko Katou (also known as “Monkey Punch”) sadly passed away due to pneumonia, leaving behind a gigantic legacy that people around the world recognize.
The Lupin III franchise is one of many that has existed for countless decades, it follows the adventures of the world’s greatest thief, Lupin III, and his loyal companions as they steal the world’s most valuable treasures.
Unfortunately, Lupin III’s mangaka Kazuhiko Katou passed away from pneumonia on April 11th at the age of 81; he began his journey into manga with “Playboy School” in 1965, though later he would create Lupin III, with his franchise acquiring him countless awards as the series was adapted into anime and even live-action movies.
This is a traggic loss
Better lived and died than never lived at all. Thanks for making a huge impact on Japanese pop culture. RIP
