Cloud Imperium Games’ Star Citizen has recently surpassed an incredible $200 million raised in crowdfunding.
The almost unbelievable milestone comes shortly after the announcement of the “Free Fly” event that will allow all non-backers to check out every ship available in the game for free.
To celebrate the release of Hurston, Star Citizen’s first explorable planet, and commemorate our anniversary, we’re launching a Free Fly event of unprecedented magnitude.
From Nov 23 through Nov 30 you’ll have the chance to try out every flyable ship and operable vehicle in Star Citizen for free. Here’s how it works:
During the promotion, anyone can join Star Citizen’s Persistent Universe for free. You’ll be able to experience Star Citizen first-hand, but to get out there and start exploring, you’re gonna need a ship.
Starting on November 23rd, every day at 8am PST, a different ship manufacturer in the game will make its entire flyable fleet available for a 24-hour test flight period.
There may also be some surprises in store for those of you who make the trek out to Hurston and see what Lorville’s all about, as well as some fun interactive activities here on the website, so stay tuned.

While this may be some consolation to a few people, the game still has no set release date and the title’s feature creep turned into a feature landslide a long time ago, which may one day bury the whole production.
The developer has been announcing new features left and right with a whole slew of them recently revealed during this year’s CitizenCon.
2000 : Pay and play a complete version.
2018 : Pay, cross your fingers and hope for the game you paid to be “really” playable someday.

as for SC goes. It’s a clusterfuck. The gameplay video shows how they have this retarded ambitions how they wanna “simulate this” “simulate that”
for example flame temperature… Then they just hope that any top end PC can run these simulations and multiplay at the same time.
This project was doomed as soon as they started to pushing the stretch goal to hundred millions and kept adding more and more and more ideas.

And there is a good reason why people will defend it – because no other game have come close to the technical things that they are implementing. Enormous scale of things, the fact that it is a multiplayer at this scale, the fact that you can store vehicles inside a vehicle, the fact that it never has a loading screen when it’s this big, et.c.

Did you pay by Credit Card? If you did you can initiate a chargeback by contacting your bank.
Paypal.. wayyy back, right after kickstarter. EU law states that i should get a refund.
But you are just being tossed in an e-mail loop. When i have time, i’ll step to the EU consumers court and see what they will do.
CIG cant mark it as a donation as i payed tax.
CIG could have finished the game i payd for.. but nope. They started feature creeping and i was a few months late with my refund… If i had my refund in 2017 i might have gotten it back already.
