Valve has once again become the subject of controversy as it has come to light that the company is secretly destroying Steam groups they claim to possess or spread “hate speech”.
Internet denizens realized that these forced shut-downs took place after various sites (such as Motherboard and Huffington Post) published articles regarding Steam groups getting away with “hate speech” and “hateful iconography”, an inevitable fact considering the sheer abundance of groups in existence and the propensity of SJW faux-gamers to find something to be offended by.
A petition has naturally already formed in the heat of the controversy, with more than 27,000 people signing in hopes that Valve will remove the toxic groups (“over 173” are estimated to be in existence) from Steam so that they can have their gaming safe space.
More politically strident “Nazi” and nationalist groups aside, whiners have also been demanding that Valve expunge anti-feminist groups, in something of a replay of GamerGate in miniature.
Valve for its part seems not to have made any official comment on the matter.
They should also remove feminist groups, since they have hatred for everything that dont agree with then, especially males… its like they can say whatever they want, do whatever they want, and they are still the “victim”, while if someone just say they dont like feminists or sjw, they are a fucking nazi that is filled with hatred…
Come on valve, dont turn into a sjw company, you can be better than that.
Considering the amount of censorship leveled towards Conservatives on Twitter, Youtube & Facebook, I imagine they define hate speech as anything not liberal/snowflake/sjw speak.
There are people and groups that unironically use swastikas and promote nazi ideology in their profiles. Those aren’t your average pepe-mongering chantards.
If you claim Valve have gone “SJW”, you are no better. Not a single bit.
so you think that promoting an ideology is cause to be shut down?
There has to be a line drawn somewhere otherwise it becomes anarchistic and untenable. The real issue isn’t whether there should be some forms of censorship or not because like it or not there already is, has and will be censorship. The real issue us where censorship is acceptable. Western society has always had issues with what is censored and what isn’t, more than any other society. Western society no longer has a majority consensus on what is appropriate to be censored or not censored though due to the political and/or social polarization we are now seeing. As diversity of culture further disintegrates societal cohesion we are going to see more and more issues like this so Buckle Up Buttercup.
Special snowflake SJW’s play video games now?
I thought flamergate proved that most of them actually don’t even play them.
They don’t. A lot of them who troll anime Jgames don’t even own the games in their game list, yet is allowed to tag all anime Jgames, even such games as peach beach splash as psychological horror. This said, f♥♥k these neoconservatives and neoliberal cunts, they pollute the discussion board of Jgames with nothing but animu jappu weebu basement or animu sexist piggu basment one-liner shat.
Exactly and don’t forget to mention that everything yaoi and such aren’t trashed by them
Ban girls from internet. Problem solved.
What the f♥♥k are we supposed to fap to?
ban girls who are saying they are girls
there is absolutely no need to give out your gender on the internet unless you want attention
Your opinion, dude.
that’s not true. If someone is collecting data, you may give out your gender in order to help provide them with more information to help them with their cause.
Also sometimes to give a better point of view, your gender is required be cause boys and girls are not 100% the same nor do they get to experience things the same.
Etc.
That largely varies on where you are; it doesn’t matter here, but it is very relevant on a dating site.
Ban morons from internet, problem solved
Nice meme.
so i take it that petition will be gotten rid of also as it’s also spreading hate speech towards specific groups.
