Popular mobile game Granblue Fantasy (which has likely been surpassed by Fate/Grand Order and Azur Lane) will be obtaining a new anime sometime in the future, an announcement that may be met with mixed results considering the questionable quality of the first season.
The anime’s official Twitter announced the news, though it was initially revealed via a special broadcast on AbemaTV:
Nothing else was revealed about the new anime, such as whether it will be a continuation of the previous series or when it will air.

>So, have people been begging for a second season?
>NO!
>Great! Let’s make one then!
Granblue Fantasy was not the most downloaded and/or top grossing mobile game in Japan. It used to be Puzzles & Dragons, which was then overtaken by Monster Strike in 2014. Published by the online Japanese social network service Mixi, Monster Strike was the top grossing mobile game in the world during 2016, earning US$1.3 billion, more than Pokémon GO and Clash Royale.
Yeah, I’m sure that a game that can casually drop 300 million yen on a newspaper ad is being surpassed by a shitty game with no content, and a chink knockoff thats already deader than SinoAlice
What…? It’s DMM, you can see the fucking rankings..
It’s not falling to the bottom, but it’s not as popular as it was.
Sure some of that’s subjective and due to new games or if there’s no events, but yeah…I don’t think stuff like that “Dead or alive paradise…..with censored shower scenes” game could cut to much into their popularity…
