One Piece‘s esteemed creator Eiichiro Oda has unveiled his secret to illustrating the female form, which he has summarized in one simple phrase: “a woman’s proportions consist of 3 circles and 1 cross”, a more than micro-aggressive comment that could well trigger the ever active SJW community if quoted in or out of context.
Oda’s statement in response to how he draws the “bon-kyu-bon” women in his works:
Harsher critics have remarked that Oda’s response explains why the majority of his female characters boast such similar frames, not that the males fare much better.
