Hardcore Pokemon fans both young and old may be delighted at the fact that a real life Pokemon Gym will be opening in Osaka, bound to draw more fans to the ancient franchise than ever before.
Officially called the “Pokemon Expo Gym“, attendees can participate in a battle against a Charizard, view the numerous exhibits on display or hit up the shops – a smartphone app will also allow visitors to keep track of rankings and statistics. Actual physical exercise thankfully need not feature in their itinerary.
The Pokemon Expo Gym will officially open on November 19th in Expocity near the Osaka Expo Memorial Park Station, and admission is a mere 500 yen and will grant buyers a “pokepera translator” (an IC card) to use throughout the gym.
Rule 34 of that charizard trainer NOW!
If I had a billion, I’d open up a Pokemon gym, too.
Ah lol a gym, not a gym.
I was like where are all the workout equipment…
Different countries has their own interpretation of words, I’d bet you never say please queue up (line-up) in the states when buying things, or you do press-up instead of push-up etc.
A Pokémon themed gym would be pretty fucking rad though, and something that they really should make.
Would make those old pokemon pedometers from heartgold/soulsilver incredibly useful.
Thus “Pokemon Gym”, not a “Gym”.
