The “Sega” arcade located in Osaka has offered more than just the usual cavalcade of competitive games, as it also houses a “worship area” for devoted fans of the Love Live! franchise to dutifully bow down in awe of their beloved idols – a more convenient alternative to the Yamanote train line for those in Kansai.
An intrigued Twitter user has provided photos of one particular fan on his knees and offering a cake to the lovely Minami Kotori – an act that may have been better suited to the moe Honoka Kosaka, considering her recent birthday:

SHYGDDY
If you’re going to bow down before them, shouldn’t you at least be rewarded by getting a look up their skirt?
I like the little diagrams
This is awesome.
Th bigger question would be WHY THE f♥♥k WAS THIS NOT DONE SOONER?!
FFS we had, like,Haruhism & Madokaism pass by. If these shrines we’re to be built en-masse,then otakus can just take their worshipping sessions there. Less reason to show it in public like trains/parks,that way the normies would benefit too.
Its perfect!
Haruhi and Madoka are actual gods in their respective stories though… which I guess gives otakus a quasi-legitimate reason to worship them.
Yeah, only difference between a Christian, Muslim, etc. and a Haruhiist is that they chose different books.
They need slots to insert money when you go to worship so it’s just like most mainstream religions.
Not most but all religions. In the bible there’s no money involvement whatsoever in worship but it’s propagated by the falsehood of evil Christianity to go along with many of their lies.
