In celebration of the upcoming debut of Akame ga Kill! on Toonami, a hype-inducing promo video has been unleashed to give potential viewers a glimpse at what they can expect of the show – bound to do well due to the west’s passion for gruesome violence and gore, which Akame ga Kill! has plenty of.
The promo, featuring a sample of the English dub in addition:

Akame ga Kill! is set to strike August 8th on Toonami.
Sounds like an abridged dub, would be hilarious if it actually is.
ow! dang, cut myself on the EDGE of that series.
I just imagine Leone is Liru.
as always, english dub is crap as ever….seems like all characters are 30+ years and they didnt even cared about the matching the voices…
That’s because Sentai has very low quality voice actors. Funimation, Aniplex, and Viz typically have much better voice actors
well that’s coz it’s the exact same voice cast that does everything.
That’s like, just your opinion, mate.
Jog on mate. When you cast 30-50 year old sounding people as teenagers, you’re going to hear 30-50 years old instead of teenage.
30-50 year old japanese voice actors regularly do teenager voices. Please don’t make this an age issue, it’s a matter of skill.
since this is toonami, expect it to be butchered and censored to hell and back.
Toonami isn’t 4Kids.
You clearly haven’t been watching Toonami if you expect it to be butchered and censored.
They censored the incest scene in kill la kill with Satsuki and her mother.
That scene was highly sexual no way it would fly by the FCC no matter how late at night it was shown. Violence on the other hand doesn’t get censored on Toonami and I think f♥♥k is the only censored swear word considering all the times Ryuoko dropped the S bomb in the dub.
and out of 24 episodes the fact that people can only point to one scene being censored says something
Not really. Toonami is on late night cable. Cable isn’t as restrictive as network television. Besides, they’ve shown Hellsing Ultimate and Kill la Kill. They’ve also shown the uncut versions of DBZ and Naruto Shippuden. They have no reason to edit.
Oh, but I miss Toonami from the early to mid 2000’s. Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, FLCL, Fullmetal Alchemist (2004 kinda crappy version, still liked it though), and Eureka 7. My inner child is sobbing like a beta male right now.
Your naïveté is amusing.
Your arrogance and cynicism is just plain sad.
Not by a lot.
And it was censored on Toonami. The last 2 OVAs I believe.
Hellsing Ultimate probably has more violence in it.
