Unconfirmed rumors floating about the internet for the past few days have at last been officially confirmed via Sony’s fateful E3 press conference, as the legendary Final Fantasy VII is finally confirmed as getting a full scale remake.
The unique stylized trailer that was uploaded minutes after its appearance:
The sneak-peak clearly boasts massively improved graphics that still respectfully retain the original game’s style, but whether or not the remake will actually live up to the astronomical expectations fans have of it (to say nothing of their rather diminished expectations of Square Enix these days) remains to be seen – the fate of Square Enix and the Final Fantasy franchise itself surely hangs in the balance.
The sad part of this eagerly-awaited news, is that it will be “wrong” no matter which fans you ask. Boobs will be too small or too big, Cloud won’t look as cool or not, Sephiroth won’t be badass enough or too much, Cloud’s sword will be too big or too small…Fan flaming and worshipping will be so huge am not sure the gaming world realises it yet. hehe.
Am personally not sure if this decision is a good ting for Square Enix, for its success might prove that the company cannot grow out of what it did before, like an actor so typecasted that no other roles after the landmark one has been a failiure. Can it save SE from doom ? Mayhaps, but I would prefer if the success (if it happens) of this remake more like replaces them back on the right track. They have the capacity for making good games, they just need to top trying to make movies, and make GAMES.
it’s going to be a beautiful remake, I am so excited it’s crazy XD hope there#s limited editions and all that cuz I wanted this game to be updated so long.
>reanimate Aerith for $20
I’m a old jaded game, so the first thing that came to my mind was this.
Sony and Square Enix, is proud to bring you A New Player Experience(tm)
Aerith will now be pre-order DLC
Clouds buster sword will be a GameStop exclusive.
If you pre-order now, you will get 10% off the price of the season pass.

The remake will have micro-transactions galore or most of the “unlockables”/features from the original made into dlc:
$500.00 usd for a master summon materia…
$1,000.00 usd for “original/classic” costumes/skins…
$10,000.00 for access to the colosseum and $50.00 for each fight…
$100,000.00 usd for “season pass/early access” that will include the “red light district” costumes for the whole cast…
$100,000,000.00 usd for each “disc/chapter”: that’s right… you will be made to pay for each of the original “disc”‘s worth of game.
Etc… Etc…
Since they can’t make a buck with their awful excuses for rock-bottom-budget programming-student-project-class games nowadays, they will milk the hell out of this “remake” if we let them…
Just you wait…
