Square Enix’s reputation as the EA of the East continues to harden amongst Final Fantasy fans – their latest announcement of a “new Final Fantasy Tactics title” turns out to be a social game for mobile phones…
Fortunately, this being Square Enix it seems expectations never rose high enough to be dashed, although the extreme unpopularity of both Square Enix and Mobage combined is proving especially provocative to Tactics fans.
After being widely reviled for having the audacity to port a social game to the PSV, and having a business plan for rescuing their catastrophically mismanaged company which consists of firing their CEO and replacing him with his right hand man for the past decade, apparently so he can churn out more outstanding social games and remakes, the prospect of things getting worse still before their eventual bankruptcy finally liberates all their IP is an upsetting one to many.
Don’t know what happened to Square Enix but their stories have become s♥♥t and re-used. What was once unique and inspirational has now turned into a generic and predictable westernized approach in gaming.
Face it Square Enix you suck now. All that’s left is the IP the heart of Square is dead.
square & enix went from making games to making long movies is there problem they dont know how to design anything now.
i knew it was getting bad when FFX got rid of the overworld now you have FFXIII where you just run forward.
FFXI was the last game that showed any game design, FFXIV comes years later and was not 1% the game FFXI was, now its being remade as a wow clone @_@.
FF VI Remake stupid Squartle Penix.
Personally if I them I will make a direct sequel of FFT, continuing Ramza and her sister journey on far away land. This time Ramza’s sister, Alma is the main character of the story. They are travelling together when some kind of whatever separate them. Meeting new and old friend, Alma tried to find Ramza and kick some deity asses.

Nah, any Tactics fan knows that the only good one was the first.
