If a single episode can make or break an anime, it is more often than not the ending which does so – thus anime fans have helpfully sought to rank what are in their opinions some of the least convincing finales in anime history.
Whilst the ranking itself contains no spoilers, it seems highly probable the comments might.
1. Neon Genesis Evangelion
2. Angel Beats!
3. Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko
4. Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouche
5. Shakugan no Shana II
6. Zero no Tsukaima
7. Black Butler II
8. Dead Man Wonderswan
9. Highschool of the Dead
10. Spiral
HOTD isnt even over yet. WTF?
Am I the only one not surprised that Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt’s ending didnt make the list?
Here’s an “oldie” for those that can remember it. 😛
Shigurui: Death Frenzy
Ok, you set up the fight between two bitter rivals, you then explore how they got to that stage. From Rival 1’s arrival to the dojo (stuff inbetween) to Rival 1 killing the Sensei of Rival 2. Then the series is over.
No explanation as to how Rival 2 lost his arm.
No resolution on their fight, just a note in the first episode that 22 Samurai participated in the tournament, that 8 were killed by their opponent and 6 matches ended in dual kills.
That really doesn’t narrow it down much, could’ve been one of the dual kill matches, one of the clear winner ones (one of 2 matches), or it could’ve been one of the matches where no fatalities occurred, even though that’s hard to believe considering how much blood flowed in the series.
it’s nerdy, but Digimon Tamers 2
High School of the Dead hasnt ended yet though. The anime just got cut off…
