A ranking of the top new anime of 2011 so far already yields a surprising turnabout – after a tearful ending and doubtless thanks in no small part to the extreme popularity of Anal, the magical puellae have been ousted from their formerly secure top spot.
The ranking (billed as limited to new anime airing in 2011 proper, not that Index and company deigned to take any notice of this):
1. Ano Hi Mita Hana
2. Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica
3. Tiger & Bunny
4. Steins;gate
5. Blue Exorcist
6. Hanasaku Iroha
7. Hidan no Aria
8. Nichijou
9. Dog Days
10. Star Driver
11. [C]: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control
12. To Aru Majutsu no Index II
13. Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko
14. Kaminomizo Shiru Sekai II
15. Ore no Imouto
16. A Channel
17. Kimi ni Todoke 2nd
18. Yondemasu Yo, Azazel-san
19. Gosick
20. Yumekui Merry
21. Gintama II
22. Infinite Stratos
23. Fractale
24. Hourou Musuko
25. Kaiji II
The message would appear to be that when it comes to killing off little girls, quality (Menma) can trump quantity (Madoka et al.). Alternatively, it may be just that anime fans are so fickle as to quickly forget last season’s classics…
Dragon Crisis was s♥♥t I completly got bored and hated the whole thing.
Personal Top 3: Ao no exorcist, Gintama II, and Star Driver. \(-_-)/
Man, WTF!?
Here what I DON’T understand about the JPN games industry: They have this amazing “pot-of-gold” pool of popular anime’s they could choose to license for small to moderate costs with HUGE GAME potential.
And yet all these anime get (that’s IF they DO get anything) are shoddy VN’s, and crappy DS show themed “collection of puzzles” games.
f♥♥k it! I’m tired and this shitty Kindle screen is really starting to bug me.
>Gosick not in “top 10″…
WHY JAPAN?!
Ano hi deserves the rank ^^ not debating that one
